I didn't invest in Witchcraft early on, went to bomber (got pinpoint early on, later took one point in Man at Arms for power stance and slingshot that throws grenades farther) and Jahan kept me with all the bombs I needed. I took shadow blade, lacerate (b/c it has slashing damage instead of piercing that most mobs in Act I are immune to) and can't remember what the third one was. My M-SB was mostly bomber/scoundrel in the first part of the game - I took Jahan (Companion you can find in first city, a mage) and turned him into crafter and made cheap fire and poison grenades. I've removed Guerilla talent b/c it was nerfed in EE, left Leech (heals you on blood) and took backstabber instead. I can't remember starting stats and points spent b/c I'm not at home and cannot load old save to check it, but I remember removing points from Nasty Deeds SB starts with - sneaking is obsolete with Walk in Shadows I took, and later on you can craft 6 items with +1 sneaking with Shadow Essence if you really need it (only one map needs you to sneak which also can be done with Shadow Blade and some hiding between cooldown, you can find lots of items giving +1 sneaking to put them on for that one situation with unkillable enemies). I'll also be putting most my points in Duel Wield, which should hopefully make using double wands better while getting me "ready" for using daggers later on.ĭoes any of this seem like a good idea? While I want to be buffing myself, leaping behind people and backstabbing for huge damage before vanishing, it seems I need a lot of set up (lots of spells, good stats etc) and I'm hoping using wands and more spells to start with will help.įirst of all, I'd like to say that I've never played Lone Wolf, and probably never will, so this comment won't be about Lone Wolf build, but regular Shadow Blade I played two times (on classic where I finished the game after 110h and then restarted tactician, still playing - 75h into the game, level 19, going to the final map - Dark Forest after I've cleared all other quests )īoth play throughs I used Shadow Blade (M-SB (main shadow blade ) and Wayfarer (M-W). I'm thinking of starting 8 Int and 7 Speed, and then mostly leveling Dex, to eventually move to using daggers more mid game when it might be more valid. With this I'll take the Invisibility Scoundrel ability, with the third ability being open for potential combo's when I'm making the character with a friend. I'm also planning on starting with Geo magic, so I can have a Spider up each combat.

What I was going to do was essentially take the ShadowBlade starting character, but actually put that build on the Inquisitor, so I start off Duel Wielding wands to try and mitigate what I've read about Daggers being weak early on. I've read on here that since I'm new, I should probably stick with a pure class, but I'm worried I'll be a bit bored, and really want to play a ShadowBlade type character. I'll be playing a Multiplayer game, using Lone Wolf. and I didn't like controlling more than 1 character. Hi, I've played 1 game for about half an hour.
